First impressions truly matter, and this project was all about setting the tone from the moment families walk through the door. We had the pleasure of working with Colets Childcare to transform their reception area into a welcoming and imaginative space for their daycare.

What was once an uninviting entrance is now a magical introduction to the environment beyond. The design thoughtfully reflects the wider scheme throughout the building, creating a seamless journey from the very first step inside — full of cohesion, warmth and flow.

Practicality was at the heart of every decision. We carefully selected durable, stain-resistant materials, incorporated sound-absorbing elements, and introduced tactile, forgiving surfaces designed to stand up to the demands of a busy childcare setting. Functional yet creative lighting — so often an afterthought — was carefully considered to draw you into the space, enhancing both the atmosphere and its day-to-day usability.

The result is a reception that not only looks beautiful, but truly works — a space that supports staff, welcomes families, and sets the stage for the experience that follows.
